Uses NASA designed Mylar to retain 90% of body heat and prevent hypothermia in extreme survival situations.
You can’t beat mother nature. No one can. When you’re in the wild, things can go from good to bad in a matter of seconds. It’s all fun and games until it’s not… and when SHTF, you need to be prepared. Get the most under-rated survival tool of all time - the emergency heat poncho.
Why? Because that small bag can make the difference between survival and death.
Hypothermia is one of the leading causes of death in the wilderness. It kills over 5000 people every year in the United States alone.
Whether you are stranded on the side of the road during winter, or you get lost hiking in the summer nights -- this survival tool will be by your side to keep you alive.
Putting on the Emergency Heat Poncho allows you to retain body heat while you are waiting for help to arrive or traveling to safety.
It's lightweight and packs smaller than a can of soda, allowing you to store it practically anywhere. When unraveled, it's a one size fits all solution and large enough to be worn by a 500 lb sumo wrestler.
Got these emergency ponchos yesterday and they are great! I Took one out and tried it on and they are well made with thick material, unlike the other thin mylar blankets I have used in the past. The individual bag size is smaller than my phone would definitely recommend these over regular mylar emergency blankets. I am ordering more for gifts and to put in both vehicles.
Took this on a very rainy and cold camping trip and loved it!!! I am a small person and get cold super easy and this blanket kept me warm! I also love how compact these blankets are!
What size is the Heat Poncho? Will I fit in it?
The Emergency Survival Bag is 39.8 inches wide by 48.8 inches tall, allowing somebody as tall as 7 ft to comfortably wear it.
Is it easy to stuff it back into the case?
Yes, you can easily fold up and insert the heat poncho back into the carrying case. Make sure there's no air trapped inside, dust off any dirt/debris, and fold it starting from the enclosed end.
How much warmth does it provide?
It's hard to give a specific temperature that it can handle. This depends on many factors including the layers of clothing, wind chill, type of resting area.
A better estimate is that it can add up to 5-10°F of heat in the bag. This is for a survival situation to keep warm in the event that you don't have any other access to warmth. In other scenarios such as camping, we recommend putting this around your normal sleeping bag to trap the heat in.
Can it be reused?
Our Emergency Heat Poncho is reusable. To repackage, make sure there's no air trapped inside, dust off any dirt/debris, and fold it starting from the enclosed end.
Can this be used for the homeless?
Yes, absolutely! We're doing our best to help out with the pricing on bulk orders for shelters, and subsidized shipping costs. We're not providing free sleeping bags at this time but we encourage donating heat ponchos to homeless.
